This is a new venture for our churches, which has just begun in both church schools in the first week of every month (except August) – Tilston Parochial Primary School, 3.00 p.m. on the Wednesday; Shocklach Oviatt Primary School, 3.00 p.m. on the Thursday. The activity is mainly for the younger children and involves a Bible story, a song, refreshments and craft activities.

Participating children must be accompanied by an adult (parent, grandparent or carer). Messy Church is considered by the Church of England as a ‘fresh expression of worship.’ Basically, this means taking church to children in school, hoping to encourage families to then move on to attend All Age worship in church, which in our churches is on the first Sunday in every month.
